If you liked The Endless Summer or Blue Crush, you’ll love the Pismo Beach OA Surf Trip! Whether you’ve been surfing since the time you could walk or you’ve never even seen a surf board, there will be plenty of instruction and fun at all levels.
We’ll leave campus immediately after classes on Friday for the trip south. There will be a stop for dinner on the road (In ‘n Out perhaps?!) with snacks and drinks waiting at the beach. We’ve rented a couple of great beach houses so all you have to do is step outside to enjoy the California coast. Wet suits and boards (included in the cost of the trip) will be waiting for you at the house. Saturday we’ll have a full day of fun in the sun with everything from surfing to paddle ball to frisbee (and anything else we can think up). We will have professional instructors available so you’ll be hanging ten in no time. Saturday night festivities will begin as early as we like and might even include a bonfire on the beach. Sunday we will have a leisurely breakfast and head back to be in Palo Alto by lunch. Sign up soon!
Difficulty level: Come one, come all! Seriously, we’re looking for all levels of ability. The instructors on hand will be able to help anyone at any level. That said, the surf can be powerful and if you plan to surf, you must be comfortable in the water and know how to swim.
Cost: $317, all inclusive.
