Moderate Yosemite Backpacking
Join a group of 17 MBA students for a moderate 3.5 mile backpacking trip (7 miles round trip) to Lower Cathedral Lake, one of Yosemite’s most popular destinations located at an elevation of 9,288 feet.

The trail begins in Tuolumne Meadows, along Tioga Road. It starts out climbing, than it levels off. This hike is very beautiful, most of it going though the green forest and at times crossing small meadows and streams.
Fun fact: John Muir made the first ascent of Cathedral Peak in 1869.
Although you should be in shape to hike, no prior backpacking experience is required. Tents, food and transportation will be taken care of for you, but you will need to bring your own sleeping bag and personal gear.
