Europe Club
Europe Club Policy Statement for period 1996-1997
We hope to build on the success of the previous administration by carrying their work forward and by pursuing new areas of concern to the current student body.
We intend to continue being active in the club's previous areas of concern, extending their scope where possible. More in particular, we will continue to
- promote and facilitate admissions of European applicants into the GSB by
- providing assistance to prospective students through application material and personal interfacing
- actively encouraging accepted applicants to join the GSB community
- researching possible financial aid opportunities
- providing online information through our Web page for applicants
- promote and facilitate employment of all interested GSB students in Europe by
- compiling and distributing a European resume book
- assisting the CMC in organizing a Career Conference in Europe
- otherwise working with the CMC in addressing the student body's interests
- maintain a healthy dialogue with the GSB administration with regards to our concerns and their needs by
- periodically communicating with various member of the GSB administration
- assisting the GSB administration in clarifying European issues
- increase interaction among GSB students interested in Europe through social events
Furthermore, we hope to extend Europe Club's involvement in other activities, including:
- increase visibility of the Europe Club, and hence Europe in general, within the GSB community by
- building a Web site to increase transparency and ease of access
- seeking broader appeal to the Europe Club's social events
- leverage on the European alumni network to attain our general objectives
- increase the contribution of Europe to the GSB educational experience through guests speakers and course content (i.e. cases)
- investigate the project of a study trip to Europe for spring break 1997.
