The Graduate Life Office (GLO) is a division of the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs and serves the needs of graduate students and student families who live on and off campus. We are a comprehensive resource for information and advice regarding all aspects of graduate student life. We administer the residential program, help students manage personal difficulties, work closely with graduate student organizations, participate in campus-wide initiatives that address graduate student needs and concerns, and sponsor University-wide welcomes. Stanford is an amazing place with an incredible array of opportunities and support services. However, like most large research institutions, the organizational structure in which services are provided is decentralized and it's not always easily apparent where to access information or help resolving a problem. If you remember one thing about our office, remember that it's a good place to start. We work closely with many University offices, we're knowledgeable about most aspects of graduate student life, and if we can't answer your question, we'll find out who can.
