The Stanford German Student Association was founded in 1997. In the meantime, we have organized and co-hosted a variety of major events:

talk by
Prof. Dr. Edward G. Krubasik, Executive Vice President of
Siemens AG (talk, followed by a discussion).
- Sommerfest with classical concert.
- Participation in the International
Festival at Bechtel International Center.
- Cohost of German National Merit Foundation Postgraduate Conference “Arbeitswelt Deutschland/USA" at Stanford.
- Attended Bruckner's 5th symphony performed by the San Francisco Symphony.
- Euromed VIII party together with the Scandinavian, French, Lebanese, Spanish, Italian, Greek and
Turkish student associations.
- Hidden German Treasures in the Hoover Archives - A guided tour. You can find some

- Stanford & Beyond Film Festival 2002
- Movie screening and live discussion with directors.
2001

- Euromed VII party together with the Scandinavian, French,
Lebanese Spanish, Italian, Greek and Turkish student associations.
- Hike in the Big Basin Redwoods State Park.
- The Oktoberfest.
- Sommerfest with classical concert.
- SGSA Soccer World Cup.
- Visit of the San Francisco Symphony.
- Reading by German author Daniela Dahn.
- EuroMed V and Euro Med VI Parties together with the Scandinavian,
French, Greek and Lebanese student associations.
- Eurogourmet in the Maison Francaise together with the French and
the Scandinavian students.
2000
- The annual Feuerzangenbowle.
- EuroMed IV Party together with the Scandinavian, French,
Greek and Lebanese student associations.
- The Oktoberfest.
- A Good-Bye-BBQ in June.
- Lunch with former German chancellor Helmut Schmidt and minister
of defense Volker Ruehe (image).
- German Supper at Bechtel in May.
- April Madness together with the Spanish, Mexican and Israeli students.
- EuroMed II Party of the German, Greek & Lebanese student
associations.
- An Oktoberfest in January organised together with the European
Club of the Graduate School of Business.
