Faculty Research Fellowships: Non-Residential Program
The Clayman Institute offers up to twelve non-residential fellowships each year to Stanford faculty. Each fellowship is worth up to $7,500. Two fellowships will be supported by the Iris F. Litt, M.D. Fund and are intended primarily for faculty in the medical and biological life sciences. These funds may be used for any approved career enriching purpose, for example, buying the fellow out of teaching a course, bringing a collaborator to campus, seed money for a pilot project, travel to a conference, paying for a research assistant, or other research costs.
Faculty Research Fellows, along with Faculty Affiliates of the Clayman Institute, participate in a regularly scheduled interdisciplinary lunch at Serra House. Fellows report on their own research, discuss the work of others, hear invited speakers, and also have an opportunity to suggest a speaker.
