An important part of conducting research in remote areas of the world involves the ability and interest in exploring unknown and unvisited areas. Members of our group organize and lead expeditions to remote and unknown or poorly known areas to meet research goals and facilitate the objectives of collaborators and partnering institutions. Most of our expeditions occur in the Amazon and the Pantanal regions of South America.
