Research Interests

Flow instabilities, transition, turbulence, shock-turbulence interaction, aero-acoustics, jet-noise, vortex-wakes, and numerical methods.

Prof. Lele has a joint appointment in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He has been an Associate Editor of the Journal of Fluid Mechanics since 1994.
