In addition to our own presentations, the Ballet Folklorico de Stanford performs at many events throughout the school year. We collaborate with El Centro Chicano, the Catholic Community, and other on-campus organizations to provide these events to the community at Stanford and beyond.

Dia De Los Muertos
An annual celebration held by El Centro Chicano to commemorate the Mexican holiday of the Day of the Dead. With teatro, folklorico, mariachi, and danza, we commemorate those who have passed on before us.

Virgen de Guadalupe Mass
Beginning in 2003, we have performed after the Virgen de Guadalupe Mass in Memorial Church. Our dancers also participated in the liturgy in the procession with the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

La Gran Posada
Held by El Centro Chicano, La Gran Posada re-enacts the search of Mary and Joseph for shelter in the inns of Bethelehem. Stopping at each of the ethnic theme dorms, the procession enjoys performances by Mariachi Cardenal and Ballet Folklorico as well as singing traditional songs. The procession ends in a celebration at El Centro Chicano

Parent and Alumni Banquet
Our first group-hosted event is the Parent and Alumni Banquet held in Winter Quarter. A night of good food and good folklorico, this event is open to the public as well as the Stanford community.

El Concierto de la Primavera
Our annual show, El Concierto de la Primavera is a culmination of our hard work throughout the year. Featuring all the regions we have learned as well as El Mariachi Cardenal de Stanford, Concierto is traditionally held during Memorial Day Weekend.
