Years in BFdeS: She danced in 2005 and part of 2006… came back for a while in 2007 Current Location: Missouri City, Texas Eli was born in Lima, Peru and came to the US in 2005 after she got married. She studied Education in Peru and become very interested in teaching Spanish as a second language in the US. She got accepted at Stanford Teaching Education Program (STEP) on June 2007, and graduated on June 2008. One of her interests is dancing. She danced Peruvian Folk dances for almost ten years, and in 2005, she joined Ballet Folklórico de Stanford because she admires the music and the way the group performs. She enjoyed participating in BF not only for the commitment of the people in the group, but also for the energy and enthusiasm of all the members. She is glad she had the opportunity to be part of such an amazing community. Her most memorable moment about Ballet was when she attended Concierto ’08, as part of the audience, and saw her name in the brochure. She was very touched because she could not participate as a dancer that year. She has enjoyed every single performance and practice, especially the ones for El Toro Mambo from Sinaloa.
