Resources: Benefit Deductions, Descriptions, and Tax Status

  • Health & welfare benefits, as elected during the annual Benefits open enrollment process, are deducted from employee's pay each pay period. Additionally, retirement contributions, as elected in Retirement Manager, are deducted.
  • Certain benefits are deducted from employee's gross pay before taxes are applied. Other benefits are deducted from employee's net pay after taxes have been applied.
