How To: Run, Print, Save or Export ReportMart3 Reports on a Mac

Who does this?  Stanford Administrative Staff using ReportMart3 from a Mac

When?  Reconciling Oracle Financials' transactions (purchases, expenditures, reimbursements, etc.) or managing funds. Exporting reports to Excel is a useful tool for comprehensive analysis

Launch ReportMart3 from a Mac via Citrix/Connect (3 steps)

Log into the Citrix/Connect web site:

  1. Using any browser (Safari or Firefox) access the Connect/Citrix web site at http://connect.stanford.edu.

  2. ~ OR ~

  3. Log in to ReportMart3 and click Mac Users – Click here to access Citrix link.

Download the Citrix/Connect client:

Note:  If this is your first time using Citrix/Connect, download the Citrix client. Otherwise, proceed to Step 3.
  1. Under Message Center, click MetaFrame Presentation Server Client for OSX systems link to trigger the installation.
  2. Follow the prompts to install Citrix/Connect.

Log into ReportMart3 via Citrix/Connect:

  1. From the Citrix/Connect web site, enter your SUNet ID and password.
  2. Click Log In button.
  3. Click the ReportMart3 icon. You may have additional application icons if you access to other applications (i.e. ReportMart1, Grants.gov, etc.).
  4. Click OK button on the Opening launch.ica confirmation window.


  5. Note 1:  Launch.ica will be downloaded and Citrix/Connect will be initialized.

    Note 2:  The Citrix/Connect icon will be added to your dock.

  6. Click OK button on the Computer and Network Policy Notice to begin launching ReportMart3. A status bar displays progress.
  7. Click Yes button in response to the Security Alert.
  8. Enter your SUNet ID and password in the WebLogin screen.
  9. Click the ReportMart3 URL address.


  10. Note 1:  The ReportMart3 application is running in the Citrix ICA Client. It will cover 80% of your desktop. See How To: Setting Preferences for Citrix/Connect Screen Size on a Mac.

Find and Run a Report (4 steps)

Launch ReportMart3 from a Mac via Citrix/connect

Find a report from a Category:

  1. Click the + by Corporate Categories.
  2. Click All Reports.
  3. Scroll down the list to the report name.


  4. Note:  The list of reports is in alphabetical order.

  5. Click the report title link.

Find a report using search:

  1. Enter part of the Title of the report in the Search field.


  2. Note:  The search entry must be sequential characters in the report title.

  3. Click Search button.
  4. Click the report title link.

Enter search terms in the Prompts page and run report:

  1. Enter the Prompts needed to find the data.


  2. Note 1:  Enter only the prompts necessary to find the data. Too many prompts can slow the system.

    Note 2:  If you know all the prompt values enter them directly on the prompt screen. If you need to access 'Lists of Values' to choose a value click on Advanced Prompts at the top of the prompt panel. See Resources & Job Aids: Using Advanced Prompts in ReportMart3.

    Note 3:  You may copy and paste prompt values from another source (a Word document or Excel spreadsheet) on your desktop. You will need to use Mac commands to copy (apple+C), use the PC keyboard shortcut to paste (Control+V). When you paste the information in the prompt box, the PC-based server you are using only recognizes PC commands.

  3. Click Run button.

Print or Save Report as PDF, or Export to Excel (5 steps)

Follow the steps in Find and Run a Report.

Re-display the report to the desired format:

  1. Select the view of the report you want to display. The default is All Tabs. Other options vary depending on the report. They may include Full Display or Brief Display.


  2. Note:  Select only the tab you want to print or you will print all tabs of the entire report, which may include data formatted for excel download rather than reporting.


  3. Click PDF View button as needed.


  4. Note 1:  Reports in ReportMart3 can be displayed two ways, as an Adobe Acrobat PDF file or as an HTML web page. The default display depends on the report type as noted in ReportMart3 – Desktop Intelligence (defaults to PDF) or Web Intelligence Document (defaults to html).

    Note 2: 
    • To print a report, see Step 3.
    • To save report output as a PDF file, see Step 4.
    • To save report output as an Excel file, see Step 5.

To print a report:

  1. Click Print button in the Adobe Acrobat menu bar.
  2. Select the printer.
  3. Click OK button.

Save the report ouput as a PDF file on your hard drive:

  1. Click Save button in the Adobe Acrobat menu bar.
  2. From the Save a Copy… dialogue box, open the Save in pull down list and select C$ on 'client'(V:).
  3. Click Allow button to approve access to your C drive.


  4. Note:  This dialogue box will only appear the first time you download anything during a ReportMart3 session.

  5. Select the desired folder you wish to save the PDF report to (Desktop or other).
  6. Enter a meaningful File name.
  7. Click Open button.
  8. Click Save button.
  9. Click Allow button to give write access to your C drive.


  10. Note 1:  This dialogue box will only appear the first time you download anything during a ReportMart3 session.

    Note 2:  The PDF is downloaded to the folder you indicated.

Export the report:

  1. Click excel icon Export.
  2. Select Save button when asked Do you want to open or save this file?.
  3. Click Allow button to approve access to your C drive.


  4. Note:  This dialogue box will only appear the first time you download anything during a ReportMart3 session.

  5. From the Save As… dialogue box, open the Save in pull down list and select C$ on 'client'(V:).
  6. Select the desired folder you wish to save the PDF report to (Desktop or other).
  7. Click Open button.
  8. Edit the File name as desired.
  9. Click Save button.
  10. Click Allow button to give write access to your C drive.


  11. Note 1:  This dialogue box will only appear the first time you download anything during a ReportMart3 session.

    Note 2:  The Excel spreadsheet is downloaded to the folder you indicated.

  12. From the Download complete dialogue box,
    • Click Open to open the Excel file within Internet Explorer.

    • ~ OR ~

    • Click Close to navigate to it independently and double click to open it.

Navigate in ReportMart3 (2 steps)

step 1

Navigating in ReportMart3:

  1. To minimize a report, click the minimize icon in the top, right corner of the page.


  2. Note 1:  When an active report is minimized, you will be returned to the main ReportMart3 portal which was open in the background. The minimized report appears at the bottom of the Citrix iCA window. The minimize icon is replaced by a restore icon.

    Note 2:  Click on the Home icon to go back to the main ReportMart3 portal or search for a new report title by number, title, or category. You may launch another report while the first report is active.

  3. To maximize a report, click the restore icon at the bottom of the Ctrix iCA window.
  4. To close a report, click the X icon in the top, right corner of the page.


  5. Note:  You may get a warning message that you are about to navigate away from the page. If so, click OK.

  6. To minimize the ReportMart3 portal, click the yellow minimize button (same as you would for any Mac application).
  7. To restore ReportMart3, click on the Citrix iCA Client icon or the iCA ReportMart icon in your dock.


  8. Note:  DO NOT click on the browser icon that you used to initially launch ReportMart3 via Firefox or Safari. That would return you to the Citrix launch page.

Log out of ReportMart3:

  1. Click the lock log off icon. You will get a message that you have logged off.
  2. Click the Close browser button.
  3. Click Yes to confirm that you want to close the window.

  • Report data may be used to reconcile Oracle Financials' transactions, such as purchase requisitions, iOU reimbursements, or journal expenditures.
