Principal Research Interests::
Dynamics and intermolecular interactions of molecules in condensed phases and biological systems. Development and application of ultrafast infrared vibrational echoes, two-dimensional vibrational echoes, and other ultrafast infrared methods for the study of vibrational dynamics and interactions in liquids, glasses, proteins, and high pressure gases. The development and use of ultrafast non-linear optical techniques, combined with other ultrafast optical methods and theory to investigate dynamics in complex liquids. Statistical mechanics of dynamics in disordered systems. Experimental and theoretical studies of photo-induced electron transfer.
