Dear Nadinne,

The Filipino-American Community at Stanford (FACS) is pleased to give $3,000 to Stanford University in support of the Haas Center for Public Service programs. In particular, we wish to support programs for youth motivation, empowerment and education, preferably among the needy and deserving Filipino-American high school students and out-of-school youth in the Bay area.

If possible, please involve students from Pilipino American Student Union (PASU) for any project associated with the above programs.

We look forward to contributing further toward the continuation and success of these programs.

Sincerely,

Ador B. Escoto

Thank you letters

Dear Ador,

We have received the generous check from FACS, and are very grateful to you and all the other members for working so hard to contribute such a substantial resource to the Haas Center. The funds will be administered directly by Nadinne Cruz on behalf of students in accordance with your wishes.

Nadinne has been on vacation, embroiled in her move to Okada House, but I have let her know that the check has been deposited. She of course knows the intent of the gift from your kind letter. She will be in touch with you directly when she returns to thank you again, annd to discuss prospective uses of the funds.

In the interim, on behalf of the students and staff at the Haas Center, please thank all the members who made contributions to the overall gift. We look forward to continuing to work with you and the members of PASU in the coming year to help strengthen the Filipino-American Community and presence at Stanford University.

Sincerely,
