You can continue to donate online: Go to www.virtualharvest.net and select Donor Type: Schools and Organization; Name: Y2E2 Stanford Civil and Environmental Engineering. The virtual food drive makes your money go farther by allowing food to be purchased in bulk and at cost. 96 cents of every dollar goes directly to buying food.
All food donations went to the Second Harvest Food Bank serving Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.
The most needed foods are:
- Meals in a can (Stew, Chili, Soup, etc.);
- Tuna/Canned Meat;
- Peanut Butter;
- Canned Foods with pop-top lids;
- Low Sugar Cereals;
- 100% Fruit Juices in single serving boxes;
- Canned Fruit Packed in Juice;
- Canned Vegetables (low salt)
