Projects
- GHI update: Eric putting together proposal, funding is pushing ahead
- SARAR: Eric emailed the folks to try to get in touch with them, but they seem to be slow to return the call
- we should just think of what we want to do and type that up for the P3 grant
- Mondialogo Award & India Renewables Team formation
- we have said we would propose the project to students (team from developing country + one from developed country)
- 4 people expressed interest and one of the 4 students is already the point for further communication
- they were asking if it will be a joint venture with ESW? not really, but we can help in informal ways
- Fellowship Program Update
- wanted to meet with Sara Gibbs from SIG this week, but waiting for an email, maybe meet next Tuesday

Discussion: Membership and T-shirts
- T shirts should arrive ~Nov12th or sooner
- we ordered 40 (there are about 20 of us!)
- what does it mean to be a member?
- paying dues? get a T shirt?
- connect to national chapter? What's the connection?
- $10 to national org, half should come back
- are we all supposed to be on there? -maybe
- what are their benefits?
- first dibs on faculty dinners
- separate email list so they get the heads up first on speakers and workshops
- what if we have more general meetings? let people know of other events or ways to get involved?
- sometimes the same folks come over and over
- would we need to have a requirements, pay or show up for the general meetings?
- maybe being a member should be helping out with the organization of the stuff
[edit]
member $10, shirt $12 for members, $15 for non-members
what's the best way to facilitate this?
- we can send a clarification email (newsletter) with benefits
- priority, discounts on shirts, one special activity just for members?
- can attach the form and stuff too
