What
is the Assignment?
For this assignment, you
will evaluate the e-rhetoric of one of your classmate's translated
proposals in order to give you experience in assessing and critiquing
effective E-Rhetoric in a scholarly hypertext.
What is the
process?
- Review the list of Top
6 Tips for E-Rhetoric that you composed earlier this quarter.
- Review your notes on
Hock’s ideas of Audience Stance, Transparency, and Hybridity.
- Go onto
Forum. Access the folder located below yours and open the translated
proposal.
- Click through the proposal.
Go back a second time and look at it more carefully.
- Return to Forum.
As a reply to the post containing the translated proposal link, write
a peer evaluation in which you address the following:
- List at least three
ways in which this author shows an awareness and application
of effective e-rhetoric. In other words, what changes has this
author made to convert the paper-based proposal into a text
that would effective in a web environment?
- List at least
three ways in which you feel the author could revise this proposal
to more effectively implement strategies of e-rhetoric.
- Evaluate the proposal
based on Hocks’ criteria of Audience Stance, Transparency,
and Hybridity.
- Suggestion a revision
in one of these categories to the author – explaining
how revising that feature would impact the proposal as a persuasive
text
- Post your peer evaluation.
