Language and Orientation Tutoring
Program
Sponsored by the Vice Provost for Graduate Education
Note: Summer individual tutorial slots are
now full, but you can try for a conversation group at
http://tinyurl.com/GroupsSummer13.
The submission system opens at 12:00 pm
Wednesday, June 19 and closes as soon as all slots have been filled.
As a member of the Language and
Orientation Tutoring program, you will be assigned a highly qualified tutor
to meet with for one hour per week for the duration a quarter at no cost to
yourself. You can use this hour to practice your conversation skills, work
on writing abstracts or grant proposals with your tutor's assistance, ask
questions about American university culture, etc. This service is only
available for registered Stanford graduate students. We know that the
graduate student life can be hectic, so please only sign up for the program
if your schedule will allow you to take full advantage your meetings.
The signup form is normally available a few weeks before the
quarter begins. Please check back here then for more information. Note that
LOT also offers small group sessions--those will be announced here as well.
For further information or to be placed on
the email list for future announcements, contact the LOT Program
Coordinator, Lisa
Barge.
