Welcome to the web page site containing the overhead color slides corresponding to the textbook, "Fundamentals of Atmospheric Modeling," by M. Z. Jacobson, published by Cambridge University Press, New York (1998) (reprinted in August, 2000). A description of the text and order information can be found at the following link,

(link to Cambridge University Press)

The slides available here are organized by chapter and can be viewed or downloaded. The slides were originally prepared using MSWord 5.1 for the MacIntosh (TM) text, Mathtype 3.1 (TM) mathematical equations, Kaleidagraph 3.0 (TM)) graphics, CS ChemDraw Pro (TM) chemical equations, and Canvas 3.5.4 (TM) drawings. They were then saved as Acrobat (TM) files, which are the types of files that are present here. To read these files, it is necessary first to download Acrobat Reader (TM).

Please email any errors or other comments to

jacobson@stanford.edu.

Corrections and modifications to the first printing of the text (1999) can be found in the following file:

Corrections and Modifications to the Original Text (printed 1999).

All these changes have been made in the reprinted text (August, 2000).

Corrections and Modifications to the Reprinted Text (Reprinted August, 2000).

These changes should be made in the original version as well.

Current copies of the answer key to questions in the back of each chapter can also be obtained by sending an email to the same email address or a written request to
