  Acknowledgements
The student leadership committee would like to thank the following organizations for their invaluable help and support:

Center for Entrepreneurial Studies for providing tremendous institutional support at Stanford for the Entrepreneurship Conference. Center Directors Chuck Holloway, Irv Grousbeck, and Garth Saloner were extremely generous in donating their time and advice and in helping to shape the content for this year's Conference; they are outstanding instructors and mentors to the many aspiring entrepreneurs at the Stanford GSB. Special thanks to CES Executive Director Linda Wells, Associate Director Lisa Sweeney and Program Manager Nancy Gross. This team has generously provided the leadership committee with critical planning and logistics assistance. There is no way that the Conference could have come together successfully without their tireless support and endless patience.

The Orrick Emerging Companies Group is a multidisciplinary group of lawyers that merges deep experience and commitment to high-growth businesses with a broad national and global platform that scales with its clients as they grow.  Representing more than 500 venture-backed emerging growth companies in Silicon Valley and more than 600 worldwide, the Orrick Emerging Companies Group runs a strong network with more than 100 venture capital firms, banking and accounting firms, national laboratories, universities, and public companies in the United States, Asia and Europe.  The network is dedicated to working for Orrick’s high-growth clients, which include eHarmony, RockYou, Meebo, Trion World Network, CipherMax, RNA Networks, PathoLase and Nanosolar.  Exemplifying the group’s commitment to entrepreneurs, Orrick Emerging features TOTAL ACCESS—a Silicon Valley- and San Francisco-based series of complimentary breakfast panels and lunch seminars open to the public and focused on the needs of the start-up and venture capital communities.  In the programs, experts from various industry sectors discuss both business and legal topics, including “Top 10 Start-Up Mistakes,” “Alternatives to Venture Financing” and “The Fundraising Series,” which helps entrepreneurs improve their pitches through constructive critique sessions with venture capitalists.  With more than 100 lawyers in the Orrick Emerging Companies Group, in addition to Orrick’s 1,100 lawyers in 21 offices worldwide, Orrick truly understands how to help emerging businesses with their legal and strategic needs.

Finally, we would like to recognize the many dedicated staff members and enthusiastic student volunteers that have helped to make this year's conference a reality.

Sincerely,

Travis Everton, Deyan Vitanov, Robert Cherun, G.J. King
