The Dualist accepts papers on all topics of philosophical interest. Essays written for classes, honors theses, and independent work are welcome, and multiple submissions are allowed. You may submit to multiple journals, however, you may accept publication at only one journal.

You may now submit to Volume 15. Please submit your papers by the following deadline: February 28th, 2008.

Please read all the submission requirements carefully. We cannot guarantee that your paper will be read if you do not follow these requirements.
  • You must be an undergraduate. (We accept papers from graduating seniors.)
  • Essays should be 10 to 30 pages in length.
  • Please submit an electronic copy of your essay to The.Dualist@gmail.com. You may submit in either .doc or .pdf format.
  • You are NOT required to submit paper copies of your essay, however, if you think that a paper copy is the only way to ensure the correct presentation of your paper, you may submit two copies to:

  • Author contact information should be on a separate sheet. Please do not include author information on the individual pages of the submitted paper.
  • We make every effort to notify submitting authors promptly about their publication status. Please email The.Dualist@gmail.com with any submission questions.
  • Prospective authors are encouraged to look at our archives for a sampling of the type of work we have published in the past.
  • The author of the top paper submitted for the 2004-05 issue received a $100 award; authors of the other published papers received $25 each.

  • The schedule for Volume 15 submissions is as follows (subject to change):

    Feb. 28th, 2008 Submissions due
    April 27th, 2008 First round of rejections
    Sept. 30th, 2008 Final acceptance and rejection letters sent
    Oct. 26th, 2008 Publication
