Born in Jerusalem, Israel, Nitzan Waisberg (n'ee Brog) grew up in Jerusalem, LA, and Sydney. She trained in industrial design at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, and worked as a product designer in the Israeli plastics industry. The daughter of a clinical psychologist turned market research consultant (and a radio broadcaster turned yoga instructor), she tried integrating what she knew about research and people into her design work; falling in love with this process she shifted her emphasis to design research. With chutzpah and eventually experience, she lead strategic innovation projects for global clients. She earned an MA in History of Design at the Royal College of Art, London, guided by the notion that a better understanding of the past can help shape the future. She has lectured on design theory and history in Israel, the UK and the US.
Nitzan lives with her husband and son at Stanford. She enjoys telling stories, cooking, tickling her son and walking in flip-flops.
