Editor-in-Chief, Ambidextrous Magazine

In a 3rd grade assignment to write one's autobiography, at the end of The Autobiography of Micah Lande by Micah Lande, in the "about the author section" Micah declared aspirations of being either a TV writer or a designer. The high point of Micah's design career then, understandably, has been the feature of a hide-and-seek toy he helped to create on an episode of NBC's sitcom Scrubs.

Micah is a Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering interested in design research and engineering education and how people learn and apply a design process to their work. He is just as likely to ask you to draw your design process as to ask you how you should get involved in AMBIDEXTROUS, Stanford University's Journal of Design.

Micah was raised in the coastal enclave of Carmel-by-the-Sea and sees overcast days as perfect golf weather. Micah is a graduate of Stanford's Product Design undergraduate program and has a master's from the Stanford School of Education program in Learning, Design and Technology. He believes wholeheartedly that enlightened trial and error succeeds over that flawless planning of intellect.

Micah doesn't like to wear socks.
