d.school Teaching Team

Dancer. Artist. Designer. Jeweler. Yogi. Scuba diver. Teacher. Giggler. Lover. Hugger. Friend.

Elysa, an artist and dancer by background, loves hugs and soft things. Having already reached the retirement age for a professional dancer, she now dances through form in design. Elysa enjoys long walks on the beach...and giggling until she cries.

Elysa Fenenbock was born and raised in El Paso, TX, but no, she does not have an accent, ya’ll. Having recently graduated from the Joint Program in Design at Stanford University, she has begun to bridge many of her various interests and talents. She has always been a water baby and in her other life she is a marine biologist...now, if only she could find a way to bridge design thinking with the sea.

Elysa loves teaching design thinking because she believes that anyone can be creative if only given the support to try. She also believes that by creating a simple smile or laugh you can change the world one person at a time.
