In A.D. 1966, a young man mundanely knowne as Frederick Hollander attends a Medieval theme party in Berkeley, California... witnessing the birth of the Society for Creative Anachronism. Since then, the SCA has grown to include 19 kingdoms and over 80,000 members throughout the Knowne World. At the age of 60, Duke Frederick of Hollander remains loyal to the Crown on the battlefields of the great Estrella War, a week long celebration held annually in Arizona.
