Lawrence Warner is a Senior Lecturer in Middle English at the University of Sydney, Australia. With support from the Menzies Centre, he is working on a project called “Other Langlands,” which traces the history of the production and transmission of Piers Plowman in the archives and focuses especially on sixteenth-century interest in the poem. This grows from his essay in the Journal of the Early Book Society 2009, which discusses overlooked evidence for the Parker circle’s interest in Piers Plowman. Dr Warner is the author of The Lost History of “Piers Plowman” (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2011); and editor of National Library of Wales MS 733B for the Piers Plowman Electronic Archive, www3.iath.virginia.edu/seenet/piers.
