Short Bio: Professor Ormrod is a former Director of the Centre for Medieval Studies and Head of Department of History at the University of York; he is the incoming Coordinator (Dean) for Arts and Humanities; and was principal investigator on recent research grants from AHRC and the Leverhulme Trust. He has been chair of management boards for recent projects at York funded by the British Academy and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. He is the author of numerous studies of late medieval English politics and political and documentary culture and co-editor of The Parliament Rolls of Medieval England (2005) and Medieval Petitions: Grace and Grievance (2009).
