Short Bio: Kathryn Lowe is Director of the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies at the University of Glasgow and Senior Lecturer in English Language in the School of Critical Studies. Her research interests lie in manuscript studies and editing; she spent a sabbatical year (1995–96) as Munby Fellow in Bibliography at the University of Cambridge. She has specific expertise in Old and Middle English language and is editor of the forthcoming Anglo-Saxon Charters of Bury St Edmunds (British Academy/Royal Historical Society: Oxford University Press, with Sarah Foot).
