Rachel Geer is interested in the relationship between texts, manuscripts, and late medieval devotional practice, especially the ways in which this relationship informs the literary aesthetics of writers such as Machaut, Froissart, and Christine de Pizan. She is also interested in exploring how devotional reading practices influence early print practices. She is currently working on her dissertation, entitled “The Text in Practice: Devotional Inflections in Late Medieval French Literature and Manuscripts.”
