The biggest single obstacle is a 300 ft climb 2 miles from the finish - up what used to be the insanely steep descent 2 miles into the loop on the old course. All in all though, significantly less climbing than last year's course. There is much more travel on narrow roads with short sight lines. Most of the turns are left at marshaled but uncontrolled intersections; these require constant caution, and good communication within the peloton or working group. There are no KOMs. Route: Intergarrison Rd/West Camp/Watkins Gate/Gigling/8th-Ext/ Parker Flats/Parker Flats Cutoff/Eucalyptus/Barloy Canyon/ East Garrison Roadways. Pre-Registration: Please send pre-registration lists to megant@leland.stanford.edu. The pre-reg deadline is Wednesday, April 18 at 11 PM PDT; pre-reg field sizes and Cat X status will be announced on wccc_info on Thurs April 19th. Prizes: Medals to 1st, 2nd and 3rd finishers in each race. An awards ceremony will follow the Road Race.
