old skewl cleats
So I was thinking of coming out to one of the rides, and after recently
learning that toe clip pedals can actually take slotted cleats, I was
wondering if anyone had any slotted cleats lyin around that they wouldn't
mind letting me borrow for a ride or two. Perhaps anyone has the shimano
specific cleats.... [link] , holding my

Tomorrow looks like a good day for VO2 max intervals. Let's meet at the PO at 7:00 and head up to Alpine to do the intervals that will win us our home race!

Wednesday base ride, departing 8:30, PO
Hi all,
I can't make Alex's ride so I'll be going out for 2-3 hours at 8:30
tomorrow. I want this week's VO2 max intervals to go better than last
week's so I'll be setting my computer to make obnoxious beeping sounds in
case I try to go above Zone 2.
Hope to see you there! You guys are much better company than a podcast of

Tuesday Afternoon Sprints -- Needs Leader Today
Hi all,
Unfortunately, it looks like I won't be able to lead the sprint workout
this afternoon. Matched sprints are on the schedule; would someone else
mind leading this?
Thanks,

Reminder: TSF gathering tomorrow evening, 7:30-9 pm
Thanks so much to everyone who has volunteered so far! However, we
still have more to write, so please join me tomorrow evening in
Tressider Union at any point between 7:30 and 9 pm to pick up
stationary or stay for a while to copy templates. If you've already
completed your postcards or letters, I'd be delighted to take them

PowerTap
I've been reading Joe Friel's "The Cyclists Training Bible" and he has
convinced me to get a power meter. Looking at the PowerTap site I see
there are several models available. I suppose for training purposes I
don't need the lightest, most expensive one. Then there are the
computer readouts - apparently one can get their Joule (they show 2.0

Does anyone have a Campy locking tool?
Replacing an old Campy cassette on a team bike, let me know if you have one

UCLA Race Report
Hey team.
A ragtag crew of 6 represented Stanford at the UCLA races north of LA this weekend. The weekend featured a road race on Saturday and a hill climb TT and street sprints on Sunday. UCLA was planning a crit on Sunday, but some residents were able to get the sheriff to pull their permit just a few days beforehand.

Ride Monday
Hi all,
I know a lot of you guys out there have been dying to go on a ladies' ride, so here is your chance! I really want to climb something, so I'm going to do OLH and possibly West Alpine (possibly, maybe, pending weather).
Meet at the PO at 10, roll at 10:05.
There is a chance of some wet weather tomorrow, but it looks like it is supposed to be morning showers, so hopefully by 10 things will be drying up.

Tacks on Kings
FYI, the Twitterverse informs me that someone has spread tacks on Kings. Keep your eyes peeled, and maybe avoid descending it for a couple days.
Sunday Ride, Roll 9:35
Hi all,
For everyone not down at UCLA, we'll meet at the Post Office at 9:25,
roll at 9:35. There will be a variety of options, I'm just going easy
down foothill and back, but others will continue up 9 and beyond...

WTB: external bearing cranks; FS: EFS drink mix
Looking for a set of cranks. Preferably 175 mm (might consider 172.5) with 130 BCD. Must fit external bearing bottom bracket. Shimano DA 7800 would be nice, but other stuff is a possibility (ultegra, FSA, SRAM…). Let me know if you have something that might fit the bill.
Also selling a brand new, unopened package of EFS (Electrolyte Fuel System) sports drink mix. 1.8 lbs (25 servings) and fruit punch flavored. Make me an offer.

Hey,
An hour easy down foothill, roll from the post office at 3:15.

Chasing Legends?
Hey Everybody,
I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the movie "Chasing Legends" I could borrow? My usual 1-stop-movie-shop, Green Multimedia, appears not to have it
Thanks,
-Paul
