
Maria Wang is the Associate Director of the NSF-funded Center for Probing the Nanoscale (CPN) at Stanford where she directs K-12 science education and public outreach programs and promotes industrial partnerships.
Maria received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University. As a CPN fellow, her thesis research focused on dip-pen nanolithography of electrical contacts to organic nanostructures. Maria has been involved in various science outreach activities, e.g., as a project co-leader in the d.school K-12 Lab and as co-Editor-in-Chief of Stanford Scientific Magazine. After graduating, Maria spent two years at Energy & Environmental Resources Group, LLC where she provided technical consulting services to Department of Energy R&D programs on energy storage and smart grid.
