Executive Committee
It is the responsibility of the Executive Committee to advise and consult with the Center Director and Deputy Director on all issues of Center management, especially resource allocation and intellectual direction. These are the responsibilities of the Executive Committee:
External Advisory Board
The CPN Director and Deputy Director, in consultation with CPN members and the executive committee, will appoint an External Advisory Board. The External Advisory Board will meet annually, in conjunction with the one-day Workshop on Advanced Nanoprobes. The criteria for membership on the External Board are:
The External Advisory Board will advise broadly and deeply on both intellectual and management issues. They will consider such questions as:
Scientific Review Committee
The Director and Deputy Director will appoint an external Scientific Review Committee to review Center programs twice during the term of the Center (first review will be Fall 2006). This committee will consist of prominent scientists from several disciplines, representing academia and/or government labs, as the voices of industry will already be well-represented through the External Advisory Board.
