Step 1

There are 2 ways to select the replacement file.

  1. Upload a file from your computer: This method allows you to replace the current file with a file that is stored locally on your computer. Click the Browse button. A window will appear that allows you to search your computer. Find your file, then click Open. Click Next to advance to the next step. Click Cancel to exit the wizard without making any changes.

  2. Link to a URL: This method allows you to link to a Web page. Type in the URLincluding http://. The best way to enter a URL is to copy and paste the information from a second browser. Note: Click Next to advance to the next step. Click Cancel to exit the wizard without making any changes.

Final Step

Click Prev to go back to the previous step and make changes. Click Save to save and post the replacement file. Click Cancel to exit the wizard without making any changes.

NOTE: The new file will retain the title of the original file all associated metadata (e.g., description, copyright status, etc.). However, if the new file is in a different format (e.g., the original document is a text document and the new file is a PowerPoint document), then CourseWork will automatically detect and change the file format for you. If a file is referenced by multiple CourseWork tools, then replacing the file will automatically update it in all tools.
