An assignment may have introductory content material (e.g., an image or a QuickTime movie with follow-up questions about that content) or a question within an assignment may be based on some content material . Use this wizard to add content to an assignment or to a question with an assignment. On the Admin Assigments page, click the Edit link next to an assignment. This will bring you to the Edit Assignment page. Click the Add Content to Assignment link within the Content/Media for Assignment section to access this wizard On the Admin Assigments page, click the Edit link next to an assignment. This will bring you to the Edit Assignment page. Click the Edit link to the right of the assignment part to which you wish to link content. This will bring you to the Edit Part page. Click the Add Content to Part link within the Content/Media for Part section to access the this wizard. Adding content to a question is only available to Standard Multi-Part or Quick Quiz Assignment On the Admin Assigments page, click the Edit link next to an assignment. This will bring you to the Edit Assignment page. Click the Edit link to the right of the assignment part to which you wish to link content. This will bring you to the Edit Part page. Click the Edit to the right of a question. This will bring you to the Edit Question page. Click the Add Content to Question link to access this wizard. There are 3 ways to add content to an assignment or to a question within an assignment.
If you selected Upload a file from your computer or Link to a URL:
If you selected Link to content previously added to this course
Enter the title of your file. It is optional to enter information in the description and author fields. From the drop-down menu, select the file format. The file format describes the functional or representational type of the document. File type choices were submitted by faculty and cover many types of material. If your content materials do not fit one of these types, select Unknown from the drop-down menu. In many cases the file format (e.g. PDF, HTML) will be automatically listed for a file. If not, you will have to select the file format. If you selected Link to content previously added to this course, title and file format information are automatically populated. Click Save to save changes made up to and including this step and exit the wizard. Click Next to advance to Step 4 of the wizard. Click Prev to go back to Step 2 and make changes. Click Cancel to exit the wizard without making any changes. If you are adding a Quicktime movie, you need to specify the width and height in pixels. The default size, if not specified, is a 300 x 300 pane. Otherwise, ignore this step. Click Save to save and post the content link on either the Edit Assignment or Edit Part page. Click Next to advance to Step 5 of the wizard. Click Prev to go back to Step 3 and make changes. Click Cancel to exit the wizard without making any changes. Preview how the content link will appear to your students. Click the name of the file to check if it is the correct file. Click Save to save and post the content link on either the Edit Assignment or Edit Part page. Click Prev to go back to Step 4 and make changes. Click Cancel to exit the wizard without making any changes. |
