On Admin Course Homepage, click the Edit link to the right of Course Description to launch the Edit Course Description wizard. Text vs. HTML Format: If you select Text, your input will be displayed in a text-only mode. This means that if you paste a word-processed document into the wizard field, any style (bold, italics, etc.), font, and layout details will be lost in the paste operation. If you select HTML, then layout, style, and links will be displayed as specified. Note: One exception to the loss of style elements when you select Text: You can include HTML style tags (such as <B> and </B> for bold) and these style specifications will be properly displayed in CourseWork. CourseWork will not accept a course description longer that 4,000 characters (text and HTML). To do a word count of your description, click the Count button at the bottom of the course description text box. Click Save to save and post the course description on the Course Homepage. Click Cancel to exit the wizard without making any changes. |
