To schedule automatic updates
NOTE: Make sure your computer is turned on and connected to
the Internet when the auto updates are scheduled.
Mac OS X
Your hard drive > Applications folder > Norton Solutions folder > locate and
open Norton Scheduler. Click LiveUpdate. In the Add LiveUpdate Task window, type the task name, (e.g., Update
Norton AntiVirus). Select All Products to update. Set the frequency of update: Weekly (default), then select a day and time. The update will take place on the chosen date every week. Close the Add LiveUpdate Task window; you will be prompted to Save the scheduled
task.
Mac OS 9
Your hard drive > Utilities folder > Norton AntiVirus Folder > LiveUpdate
Folder > locate and open LiveUpdate. Click the Schedule Future Updates button. This will
launch the LiveUpdate Scheduler. Click New in the Scheduler. Provide a name for the event. Click OK to exit the Scheduler. In the main window: Select Update All for Event Type. Select Weekly (default) for frequency of update. Input the date and time for the update. The update will take place on the chosen date every week.
Click Done.
Windows
Start Menu > Programs > Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition folder
> Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition. File > Schedule Updates... this will launch the Schedule Virus Definition
Updates dialog box. Within the Schedule Virus Definition Updates dialog box, select Enable
scheduled automatic updates. Click the Schedule button. Within the Virus Definition Update Schedule dialog box: Click OK twice to exit the dialog boxes. Exit the application.
