Kairos is a small, co-ed co-op on the upper row with 34 residents, including seven student staff members. We pride ourselves on being a house that is typically clean and efficiently-run with an emphasis on cooking (and eating) dinners that are both omnivore and vegetarian friendly five days a week. We have 11 single rooms (2 with their own balconies), 2 two-room doubles, a quad, a triple, and 6 one-room doubles. The house features many open common areas, including a front porch, two back decks, a lounge, a pool room, a small garden and a large foyer. The atmosphere is conducive to both work and fun; the common areas lend themselves well to holding social gatherings, and we typically hold a house party every other Wednesday night throughout the year.
Kairos' preassignment plan has changed!
1. Kairos is allowing “draw groups” of at most two. If one of you is preassigned, the other will be as well.
2. Kairos is only preassigning current Freshman that complete the following requirements:
Every preassignment applicant must complete a substantial (~3 hour) job for the house, attend a house tour of Kairos, and receive approval from a current Kairos staff member.
Further, all applicants must plan to be on campus for all three quarters of the 09-10 academic year.
If you do not perform the following, you will not be able to draw into Kairos:
Perform a job at any coop, and attend an info session and house tour at Kairos.
Please email Charmaine Peck with any questions.
