Kairos

Kairos is a small, co-ed co-op on the upper row with 34 residents, including seven student staff members. We pride ourselves on being a house that is typically clean and efficiently-run with an emphasis on cooking (and eating) dinners that are both omnivore and vegetarian friendly five days a week. We have 11 single rooms (2 with their own balconies), 2 two-room doubles, a quad, a triple, and 6 one-room doubles. The house features many open common areas, including a front porch, two back decks, a lounge, a pool room, a small garden and a large foyer. The atmosphere is conducive to both work and fun; the common areas lend themselves well to holding social gatherings, and we typically hold a house party every other Wednesday night throughout the year.

Pre-assignment Requirements
Kairos will be preassigning students for 2011-2012, but we have not decided exactly how many spaces will be pre-assigned yet (it will depend on interest level, i.e. the number of applications we receive). We'll be selecting students based on background in coop-relevant experiences that indicate their ready and willingness to be integral parts of our community, and based on how they will contribute to the diversity of our community. E-mail the staff if you are interested in pre-assigning, but more importantly apply on the pre-assignment website as just e-mailing this person will not be enough.

Regular Draw Requirements
If you do not perform the following, you will not be able to draw into Kairos: Perform a job at any coop, and attend a house tour at Kairos.
