Research interests of the Cleary Lab

Our
laboratory studies the molecular pathogenesis of cancer. We have
discovered several genes
that are damaged by chromosomal translocations in human leukemias.
We are currently investigating the normal functions of these genes and
their contributions to cancer employing a variety of experimental approaches
that include biochemical techniques and in vitro cellular transformation
assays as well as genetic analyses using transgenic and knockout mouse
models.
