1D Detection of Nuclei other than 1H or 13C

Detection of 19F or 31P cannot be accomplished without tuning the probe on the Inova 500. First a parameter set must be loaded with correct nucleus being detected and then type 'su' to setup parameters. Next, the probe must be tuned. Inductor or capacitor sticks must be inserted into the probe for most nuclei including 15N and 31P. 19F does not require a stick; additionally, 19F is the only nucleus that must be tuned on the high-band channel (the proton channel). All other nuclei are tuned on the broadband (X) channel.
