1D Detection of Nuclei other than ¹H or ¹³C

Detection of ¹⁹F or ³¹P cannot be accomplished without tuning the probe on the Inova 500. First a parameter set must be loaded with correct nucleus being detected and then type 'su' to setup parameters. Next, the probe must be tuned. Inductor or capacitor sticks must be inserted into the probe for most nuclei including ¹⁵N and ³¹P. 19F does not require a stick; additionally, ¹⁹F is the only nucleus that must be tuned on the high-band channel (the proton channel). All other nuclei are tuned on the broadband (X) channel.
