Commemorative Song 2002
We wrote this song to commemorate this historic event and the phenomenal
turn out at the SportsPage pub.
The file is not modem-friendly at about 4MB, but personally I think it is
worth the download. --MP
The Hockey Game

I was at the hockey game
It was us against the USA
Fifty years to the day
Since we last won the hockey game
Senses palpitating,
Bodies gravitating,
Beer glasses breaking
And people celebrating.
[chorus]
USA, USA, USA, Ha ha ha ha
USA, USA, USA, The joke’s on you.
They would show the Great One
Never changing his expression
That somber complexion
Improved when our team won.
You’ll say you don’t care at all.
“Any real sport has a ball.
Makes me need a Tylenol.
It moves too fast and the puck’s too small.”
USA, USA, USA, Ha ha ha ha
USA, USA, USA, The joke’s on you
USA, USA, USA, USA
USA, USA, USA, USA
USA, USA, USA, USA
At the end of the hockey game,
Everybody got up and sang
Oh Canada,
Our home and native land
USA, USA, USA, Ha ha ha ha
USA, USA, USA, The joke’s on you.
