Welcome! Bienvenue!
The Stanford Canadian Club is a Stanford University student organization
which provides a forum of exchange for Canadian students and scholars, and those who are interested in Canada at
Stanford. Throughout the year, we organize cultural and academic activities that relate to Canada.
Ongoing invitation to all Canadians at Stanford: If you have an
idea for an event, or would like to host a party or get-together, we would love to hear about it.
We also welcome any suggestions/comments you might have for the club, this website, or the wiki.
 Announcements

Jan 31, 2009: Happy New Year everyone! The club recently went to two fantastic hockey
games at the Shark Tank and had a great deal of fun. Thanks to Adam and
Nahid for organizing and selling out all the tickets! We have two big
announcements today:
1. Many of you had expressed that having a FAQs site would be useful. We
worked on that, and now have a wiki for everyone to share answers to
FAQs, post pictures from previous events, and much more. Many thanks to
Nahid Harjee for putting it together! The site is at:
http://www.stanford.edu/group/cdnclub/wiki/
So far we have put up a list of popular FAQs (currently only a few have
answers), and uploaded some photos from the Thanksgiving Dinner back in
October. Since the wiki is meant to be a collaborative effort amongst
members of the club, PLEASE feel free to contribute! ***We need you to
add/edit answers, add more FAQs, upload event photos, etc in order for
the wiki to grow into a useful resource for all Canadians at Stanford.***
At the moment, only Stanford-affiliated members can contribute contents.
If you're not Stanford affiliated and would like to contribute or have
any questions regarding the wiki, please contact Nahid.
2. Nahid has graciously agreed to become the club's first Information
Minister! He has contributed a tremendous amount to the club over the
last few years. He will be the go-to person for website and wiki-related
issues.

Nov 18, 2008: Over the next while, we will be adding an FAQ section to our website
regarding issues such as health insurance.
I'd like to solicit your opinion on the types of questions you want
answered. Here are a few we have in mind:
- What is the best way to get health insurance coverage in the U.S.?
- How to renew Canadian passport in California?
- How to vote in Canadian elections as expat Canadians?
- Where to get poutine in California? (I haven't had any luck so far in
the Bay Area!)
