UPCOMING EVENTSSpring Quarter 2008: The Stanford English department is offering a seminar in Canadian literature, ENG182S Looking North: Canadian Literature. Readings include works by Alice Munro, Margaret Atwood, Michel Tremblay, and Michael Ondaatje. Check it out! April 3rd, 2008, 6pm: Job Opportunities and Immigration to Alberta, Canada. Representatives from the Government of Alberta will be hosting an informal pizza night at Bechtel International Center for Stanford University students. Interested students will have an opportunity to learn about living and working in Alberta, Canada as well as the Canadian immigration process. May 3-11, 2008: International week. Enjoy multicultural festivities at the Bechtel international center. More details to follow... May 8th, 2008: A Night of Canadian Cinema. As a part of International Week, we're showing off our Canadian artistic pride. Stop by the Bechtel International Center for a screening of Canadian Film Board shorts and the full-length film "My Life Without Me". May 26th 2008, 2pm: Victoria Day BBQ. Stop by the Bechtel International Center for some traditional BBQ fare (with vegetarian options). Grab a drink from the canoe and win some prizes by showing off your Canadiana knowledge.
