Why should Obama be considered about women that much?

Why should Obama be considered about women that much? That question has been raised in our minds several times. Finally, throughout the information we obtained while surfing Obama’s website “http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/womenissues”; we discovered that he is trying to attract those who were strongly supporting Hilary Clinton; so maybe this is why women’s issues figure a lot on his website.
Actually, Obama is addressing the issues that women experience in America, healthcare issues is one of the problems. American women don’t have the same health care insurances like men, so Obama guarantee them with having the same health care men get, with electronic medical records, and reporting systems to assure that his patients get perfect treatments with low costs. Moreover, he will increase the ovarian cancer awareness for women, because so many are infected with it and have no clue how to diagnose it. Because the HIV virus killed so many women, Obama introduced Microbicide development Act, to protect them from its transitions. In addition to the healthcare issue, Obama will prevent any domestic violent act against women and restricted some laws for that because 1,400 women in the United States die every day as a result of harassments, rapes, and stalks.
Last but not least, Obama closed the wage gap between men and women in US because women will be taught math, science as men; hence, men and women will be equally paid for their equal work. Furthermore, Obama will give women seven days paid off checks, if they did not come to their work for their children sicknesses. Not just that, but Obama will encourage women to open their own businesses which they were denied to open many years ago.

I think that obama's plans for women represent a part of the progress that he has promised the Americans. Obama basically offers true equality between men and women in the United States and although people believe that equality already exists in the United States, statistics proved that men get better titles and salaries than women even if the women are more efficient. Giving rights and privileges to women is a clever move from Obama because he is attracting the women's votes and showing the change and progress that he could bring to America.

Obama is supporting women and he is trying to give women their rights and this is what women want. Moreover, women like Obama for many reasons. Some of them are that he is young, smart, good looking and he likes change and he is willing to give them many rights as mentioned above. He also will give them that right to choose .On the other side, McCain opposes the women rights to choose and he also opposed the legislation that would assist women to achieve pay equity. That is why most women will go and vote for Obama not McCain.

The above mentioned reasons for Obama's big attention to the woman's issue in the US are true but not complete for a main part of this attention is because of McCain's choice of his Vice President. This choice was not for nothing because when McCain selected a mid age woman for this position he displayed a good initiation towards women in general. In fact this showed his appreciation for women and that he cares about their rights. So, I think that when Obama addressed the issue of women's rights a very detailed pattern, he was trying to show his good intentions towards women and to respond to McCain's initiation.

I think what Obama has promised to do for women is a big part of his success to be a president beacuse women in the US are still not having their rights comparing to men; they are less paid in the working field as they don't study math and science unlike men and so Obama promised to allow them to learn math and science. He also promised to take care of their health care as part of their rights comparing to women. He pomised to lift the wage gap between men and women and by doing that he is going to treat men and women equally which will make them want him to be the president. Obama was smart to take women's attention by promising to gave them their rights and that one of the reasons he successed to be a president

Though I feel that President Elect Obama ran a progressive, women-friendly campaign, I must address some of your points that I feel are outdated. Primarily, and I mean no disrespect, your view on American life is, I feel, a collage of I Love Lucy, and feminist propaganda. Women today are able to take mathematics classes, health insurance companies discriminate against everybody that needs help (including men). One thing I feel you are spot on is that women are not allowed the same wage, jobs as men. I feel that Sen. Obama has done an excellent job of clarifying his position on the issue. For this issue alone, I feel that women should support Sen Obama. Not all women are progressive (or care much about the welfare of all women), but an attempt of making job pay equality a possibility for all women (for further generations) should be made. Elections are a perfect time to think outside, and encourage change for those that most need it. We must now wait and see how much of Obama’s policies become reality.

First, I agree completely that Obama successfully emphasized issues that are disproportionately important to women, including the high priority of health care in his platform. However, I want to argue that while beneficial to his campaign, this was not just political. While there may have been an increased emphasis because he was opposing Senator Clinton in the primary, his views were genuine. Women supported Obama at a relatively constant rate both before and after Governor Palin was announced as McCain's VP candidate, largely because they did not feel Obama's support for issues they cared about was simply political. Rather, they they sincerely believed he was the best candidate for women and for the country.

Obama has increased his advantage among women voters.Obama attracts considerably more strong support among African,American Democrats than among white Democrats.

I'm taking a "wait and see" position. I think it is encouraging that today he said he would "compromise" on the health care issue, but Universal health care would be a mistake.
