Stanford-NIH Graduate Training Program in Biotechnology

About the Stanford-NIH Program

Trainees selected for this program are pre-doctoral students matriculated in the participating departments and programs at Stanford University. Once pre-doctoral students have completed their doctoral candidacy requirements, they may be considered for a Traineeship.

The primary goal of the program is to have the Trainees become proficient in a variety of physical, chemical, biological, and computational research techniques and to provide a learning environment that cuts across the boundaries of several disciplines that are major contributors to the biotechnology enterprise. In so doing, our Trainees become prepared for careers in biotechnology at both the industrial and university levels.
