Research Interests

Neuromuscular biomechanics; dynamics, simulation, and animation of movement; muscle mechanics, biology, and remodeling; dynamic MRI, molecular machines, computational bioengineering, rehabilitation engineering; orthopaedic biomechanics.

Professor Delp joined the Stanford faculty in 1999. He was previously on the faculty in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University. He worked at Hewlett Packard's Graphics Workstation Division from 1983-1985. He has authored over 100 journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers and is on the editorial boards of five major journals.
