Provide FEEDBACK

This section teaches the basics of patents and intellectual property law as it relates to medical technology. With a focus on U.S. patent laws, the speakers discuss the types of intellectual property protection that are available, the requirements for patentability, how to do a thorough patent search, and how to organize information necessary for drafting a patent.

Upon completion of this section, you should be able to critically assess the patentability of your technology and be able to cite the most relevant prior art in your area. You should also be able to properly document the critical aspects of your invention as a precursor to filing a provisional or utility patent application.
