If so, then this 2 day, 'hands-on,' practical workshop is for you! Get ready to roll-up your sleeves and join our dynamic team of experienced entrepreneurs, seasoned venture capitalists, innovative university faculty, and corporate leaders who are ready to delve into 'what you don't know you don't know' about venturing new businesses.
This unique course will explore real-world issues and events that occur in the first few years of a new venture, and extends well beyond writing the business plan. Building upon participants' existing medical device experience, sessions will explore the complex processes of creating early-stage value, including issues such as assessing ideas, building a founding team, raising capital, executing milestones, and improving accountability and operations.
The workshop format is rapid-fire and content-intensive. Special pathways within the curriculum are being developed for entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs (who bring forward new innovations within companies), and university-based innovators. Networking opportunities include lunches and a Friday evening event at The Cantor Arts Center!
Participation for approximately 150 emerging entrepreneurs will be reserved, based on an online application process, beginning in April 2005. A scholarship will be awarded to each successful applicant to defray the majority of workshop costs. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, attendees will pay only a residual $295 registration fee.
