Editing Instructions - Audience Specification

Audience

The primary audience for bmesource.org is students in BME programs, most specifically those that are taking Design courses within that program. These students are typically graduate level students or undergraduate in upper-division courses in BME programs also take design courses with an engineering, medical or business background. For instance, students at Stanford taking Bioengineering 374 (Biodesign Innovation) come from three schools, but are almost all in a graduate program.

That said, the audience for bmesource also includes anyone in the Biomedical field that needs to get a leg up on a medical area, a engineering technology or a business aspect of the field.

Sites selected should be considered in light of this audience. Sites can have a level of sophistication that reflects the primary audience, but sites which are geared toward public consumption can also be useful and many are found in bmesource.
