6/25/08 Meeting moves to Biennial Schedule At the 2007
meeting it was decided that BME-IDEA would move to an every-other-year schedule.
Thus, the next meeting will be held in conjunction with the 2009 BMES meeting
in Pittsburgh, PA in October, 2009. See you then!

Slides presented at the Sept 28 BME-IDEA meeting in Baltimore, MD have been

9/05 - bmesource, bme-idea big hit at Council of Chairs
We presented to the BME Council of Chairs on Wednesday evening at the BMES
meeting both the portal and the contest. The CoC voted to support the
contest and when a sign-up sheet for bmesource was circulated over 30
chairs indicated they would assist in some way.

Showcases Student Product Innovation. Winners were 1st Place: Stanford
University; 2nd Place: Johns Hopkins University; 3rd Place: Washington University
St. Louis.

10/04 -- Contest
The BME Design contest that has been discussed at our last two meetings is
now open. The contest is jointly sponsored by the Biomedical
Engineering Society (BMES), the National
Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA), BME Council of
Chairs and the Medical Design Excellence Awards (from Medical
Device and Diagnostics Industry).
Details about the contest are posted on the NCIIA website.
